A Brief History
In 1953, Schreiber Brothers Limited opened their office in Hamilton, Ontario to support Canada's growing industrial and commercial sectors. Led by Herbert Schreiber, the company became instrumental in shaping Canada’s roofing industry.
In 1960, Herbert served as a founding director and first vice-president of the Canadian Roofing Contractors Association, representing Canada at global industry events and advocating for excellence in built-up roofing systems.
Today, more than 85% of Schreiber Brothers work comes from repeat clients—a testament to our enduring commitment to quality, professionalism, and long-standing relationships.

Every crew has at least 1 member certified in fall protection, WHMIS, and first aid, and our COR™ certification reflects a safety system that’s regularly audited and continuously improved. A dedicated internal committee ensures every site meets the highest standards, so every worker goes home safe.
Insurance And Bonding
Schreiber Brothers is fully insured and bondable, providing peace of mind on even the most complex, high-value projects. We maintain $10 million in general liability insurance with the ability to increase to suit specific individual projects. We issue project-specific insurance certificates, Bid Bonds, Performance Bonds, Labour and Material Payment Bonds upon request, ensuring all compliance requirements are met before work begins.
